About 315 Roofing

315 Roofing is a residential roofing contractor based at 415 Homestead Drive in Utica. We replace and repair asphalt shingle roofs on houses across Oneida and Herkimer counties, from New Hartford and Whitesboro to Rome, Clinton and Herkimer.

We keep a narrow focus on purpose. Most homes here have a pitched roof covered in shingles, and that is the roof we work on every day.

It means the crew knows the details that decide how long a roof lasts in this climate: ice and water shield along the eaves, flashing that is replaced rather than reused, a solid deck and an attic that can breathe.

Before any price comes up, you see the roof the way we see it. We photograph the shingles, the flashing, the valleys and any soft spots in the deck, then go through the pictures with you. If a repair will fix the problem, we say so.

If the roof has reached the end of its life, the photos show why. Then the scope, the materials and the price arrive in writing, within 24 hours of the inspection, so you can compare it with anyone else's quote line by line.

The work itself follows the same order every time. On a replacement:

• The old roof comes off down to the wood
• Damaged decking is cut out and replaced
• Ice and water shield goes along the eaves and in the valleys
• Synthetic underlayment covers the rest
• Flashing is replaced at every wall, chimney and pipe
• Ventilation is corrected
• Architectural shingles finish the roof

Our installation is backed by a 10-year workmanship warranty.

Most of our work comes from homeowners who noticed something: a stain on a ceiling, shingles in the yard after a windy night, or ice hanging thick off the gutters all winter. Whatever brought you to us, the first step is the same free inspection.

315 Roofing has been a BBB Accredited Business since October 2025.
